Smally’s Reviewed Stores Lately # 6

We’re back! Once again, please read, we have a lot to cover for these 4 months!

Spicy Chicken Sandwiches and Chicken Tortilla Soup, oh my! Previously they had Mad Libs, Blue Orange Games and Spot What. Now they have once again if not one time the Amazing Cow Heroes Comics! (Cloe) Plus for April Fools day, they had joked about Chick-Fil-A flavor gum/mints and strips for noses on Sundays. (Smally)

Auntie Anne’s

They had their 25th birthday, and if not mistaken, redesigned slightly. (Cloe) #FeedSpringFever & Instagram Contest. Nothing else. (Smally)

For McDonald’s, we have a whole lot to cover. Fish McBites had been selled, if not now. Also, the Shamrock Shake was sold last month. (Cloe) Right now, they’re selling new Premium McWraps, and doing this McCafe Moments of Wonder thing. BTW, the Premium McWraps should be permanent, unlike the Fish McBites. (Smally) 2013 McDonald’s All American Games was done, along with making Spicy McChicken part of the dollar menu. (Cloe) Finally, The Croods was part of the Happy Meal until Skylanders Giants & Fijit Friends Shimmies took over. (Smally)

Golden Krust

Burger King

Burger King also has done a lot like Angry Whoppers, Gingerbread something and etc. BKCrown is doing Cut The Rope stuff, not to mention we have something Cut The Rope related at our house. Next up is Jurassic Park. (Cloe) Lately there are selling Loaded Tater Tots, but not for long. Vegetarians should be happy because they’re also selling Veggie Burgers, although this one isn’t for them, Turkey Burgers. (Smally) Bacon Cheddar Stuffed Burgers, Pina Colada Smoothies, Iced Teas (Peach and Sweet or Unsweetened), Chipotle Chicken Sandwiches and Wraps, Chiptole Whoppers, Donut Holes, and Smooth Roast Coffee which can be iced or hot are also new. (Cloe)

We’ll see you next time on this first Reviewed Stores Lately for 2013! (Both)

Won’t be seeing them tomorrow, but we might as well go back.

Today’s review is about the Applebee’s in the Staten Island Mall. Alas, this is the first review that has 4 or 5 stars, and we gave it four for these reasons:

Okay, one of our new friends is reviewing this, so yeah. It was one of the only places that didn’t take a long time to get food, as Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill and TGI Friday’s all said it’d take 1 hour and 45 minutes for something.

Like the others, no, it isn’t 5 stars, but our night there wasn’t half bad. One of our only really bad complaints was that they seated us close to the door where it is cold. And although they moved us, we still aren’t giving them 5 stars. Also, some portions where big, like our drinks and some food. The drinks weren’t awesome, but OK, as the ice kind of took the flavor of the fruit punch.

But the boneless chicken, however, is awesome. Too bad I didn’t have a big appetite though. Celery and ranch also tasted good. Overall, we would come back. Sorry to the people who gave this place bad reviews, as this is the first 4+ star review of this place out of 14 reviews, including this one.

Thanks for reading, and before next Friday is a Smally’s Reviewed Stores Lately. Speaking of that, Applebee’s might be in our Reviewed Stores Lately. Ta ta!

We’re back! And like promised, Chick-Fil-A is now on here! Please read.

They have a promotional card thingy and a 2013 Calendar that’s super awesome. Also, LSU vs Clemson in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl (Cloe). Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshakes out for a limited time. Catering is highly being promoted Kids Meal promotion are some Franklin books (Smally).

Auntie Anne’s

Promotions: Auntie Anne’s Snowballs, which are basically their Pretzel Nuggets covered in sugar, and could be served with a Hershey’s Fudge Dip (Cloe). Plus, there is yet another version of the At-Home Baking Kit (Gingerbread Version) Plus they’re telling you to do not fight, they’ll make more (Smally).

Cheddar, Bacon and Onion (or just CBO) is Three-Mend-Ous (Cloe). And the McRib is back! Plus, we’re serious, they listed 101 reasons to eat a McRib. Plus, I’m sure IHOP did something similar like that. Dollar Menu, Wholesome McMuffin, Extra Value stuff and more as well being promoted (Smally). And Monopoly and McDonald’s are doing a $1,000,000 club! How cool is that? Also, the Chicken McNuggets have their own dunking game, inspired by the NFL. Last but not least, Favorites under 400 calories (Cloe).

Golden Krust

Burger King

Last I heard they did this WiiU thing. Then the Design the Crown contest is still going. (Cloe) Plus, they are now teaming up with Kidz Bop for BKCrown. Finally, Angry Whopper, gingerbread stuff and etc. (Smally)

New review with Downtown Pizzeria

I’m still on vacation in Trinidad, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t review at all during it! Downtown Pizzeria is finally reviewed.

Yes, yes, I know. We usually give high violation pointed restaurants 1 or 2 stars, but the pizza actually tastes good! Despite the 33 violation points with a Not Yet Graded Grade, we’ll probably wait until an A Grade comes by to them.

Okay, so if you don’t care about the violation points (you should), then just eat it. Or not. Anyways, see you later!

One pizza place down, One pizza place up that replaced it. Maybe a redoing thing here?

In the past times, although I’ve never tried the place, we’d usually sometimes buy from the plaza or pass it. There was something, a Chinese restaurant in which we tried (should review too), a gourmet deli in which we went to as well (must review as well), a Spanish restaurant, a laundromat, (maybe) (maybe something else? a laundromat or something (as I said, maybe a laundromat)) and a pizza place named Z-Brothers Pizza. However, it closed down for more than a month now, and if you haven’t tried it, sadly you won’t be able to as it closed down this year. Fortunately, another pizza place came up as a replacement. I heard of this when one of my friend’s (Smally) friend liked that place and said it was delicious I believe. It was on Richmond Terrace, so I thought it was the Crispy Pizza place (it was another Pizza Place on the same avenue, so I thought it was that), but it was actually Downtown Pizza & Burgers. Yes, they sell burgers and other fast food I believe. And no, don’t get confused now, Downtown Pizza & Burgers replaced Z-Brothers Pizza. Also, if I ever do get to try that Crispy Pizza place, I just want to let you know that they aren’t getting 5 stars. They left out a back door open when it should’ve been closed! So this month or next month, we’ll try to see how it is and review it, despite the lack of a grade since they are new, but no worries, they should have a grade up soon! See you next time!

A Big Apple Bagels Review.

The bagel was soft and delicious, and the green olive cream cheese was to die for. Will come back after our traveling.

We are going traveling from August 9th to the 26th to Trinidad and Tobago. See you then!

Get ready… it’s a place I’ve been wanting to go ever since! Chick-Fil-A!!!

Oh boy, Chick-Fil-A, which is now one of my favorites, oh where do I start to begin with?

Chick-Fil-A was a place I was willingly wanting to try before, but because of something awesome about them, I begged my friends to go, and they finally did! August 1st was Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day. We went that day and boy it was better than I thought it was! It was a long line, but because I highly recommend and support them, I didn’t care how long we have to wait, I could’ve seen that a lot of people was there compared to it’s neighbor (Nestle Tollhouse. We didn’t go, and probably won’t go, but some people went there).

We took 3 other of our friends too, and boy the food was awesome! The fries, the chicken sandwich, of course, and the lemonade all tasted homemade and real, and they looked real too! I loved how they came up with the idea of the fries being shaped as waffles, and they beat McDonald’s for being the best fries! We also had some candy packages I suppose, like those small peppermint candy stuff or something, and the ketchup package was shaped like a ketchup bottle! Loved that idea, and that’s something other restaurants should do, too!

In conclusion, the store became better than Auntie Anne’s (which was my other favorite store, but don’t get me wrong, that store rocks too!), and this was the 100th review on my review site! Please come here, even the family who created the store was great, and even told us the story of it! Cool! Also, check out this review on Measured Up and maybe other places too! If possible.

And also, it’s the 100th review on the site! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray! Cloe’s icon will be updated in honor of this! See you soon!

Plus this restaurant will be part of Smally’s Reviewed Stores Lately!!!
